This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey.
• Conduct research on modifications to tax forms.
• Analyze the tax code and regulatory updates that prompted these modifications.
• Offer guidance to programmers regarding the updates required for calculations based on research outcomes.
• Validate the accuracy, consistency, and usability of tax return calculations through testing.
• Create and implement test cases to ensure the proper execution of tax law modifications.
• Assist in the preparation of release notes, technical documentation, and customer-facing guidance as necessary.
• Acquire a working knowledge of assigned jurisdictions or tax subjects and support the team by applying that expertise.
• Develop and revise documentation to facilitate tax return calculations and related materials.
• Provide assistance for the products developed through both direct and indirect communication channels.
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Computer Science, or a related discipline.
• 0 to 3 years of experience in the industry or public accounting, focusing on corporate or pass-through income tax compliance, or programming experience.
• Familiarity with AI-driven tools to enhance tax research, technical analysis, and workflow efficiency.
• Proficiency in reading and interpreting COBOL and/or C# is advantageous.
• Experience with Visual Studio and Azure DevOps is beneficial.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Eagerness to quickly learn new skills.
