Associate Staff Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Plan, execute, and assist with migrations from Atlassian Data Center to Cloud (including Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).

• Conduct assessments of the environment, develop migration plans, and analyze risks.

• Perform preparatory activities prior to migration, such as data cleanup and validation.

• Ensure a seamless migration cutover with minimal downtime.

• Offer post-migration support and resolve any issues that arise.

• Work in collaboration with cross-functional teams to guarantee smooth delivery.

• Define and implement strategies, tools, and methodologies for migrations.

• Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for migration processes and best practices.

• Assist with User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and production rollout activities.

• Identify and resolve issues related to migration and performance challenges.

• Contribute to initiatives for continuous improvement and optimize migration processes.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 4 years of relevant experience.

• Extensive experience in Jira Administration.

• Proficient hands-on experience with Confluence Administration.

• Familiarity with both Atlassian Data Center and Cloud environments.

• Demonstrated experience in Atlassian Cloud Migration projects (Jira, Confluence, Bitbucket).

• Practical experience utilizing Atlassian migration tools (Cloud Migration Assistant, JCMA, CCMA, APIs).

• Strong grasp of user management, permissions, workflows, and customizations.

• Knowledgeable about data integrity, performance optimization, and troubleshooting during migrations.

• Ability to evaluate existing environments, identify risks, and develop migration strategies.

• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.

• Capable of translating business requirements into technical solutions.

• Experience in documenting processes, best practices, and lessons learned.
