Associate Social Media Content Creator

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in South Africa.

📋 Description

• Develop captivating, trend-focused short-form video content aimed at enhancing Carry1st’s social media presence and engagement on platforms such as TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X.

• Collaborate closely with the growth team to create both organic and paid video content related to in-game live operations, seasonal events, and regional marketing campaigns.

• Take ownership of the content calendar, overseeing both the planning and execution to maintain a consistent and high-quality posting schedule across all channels.

• Share static and video content across Carry1st’s social media platforms, while analyzing key performance metrics to assess effectiveness and refine the content strategy over time.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2+ years of experience in social media content creation, with a portfolio showcasing short-form video work and the ability to provide examples or links to your produced content.

• Proficient in Premiere Pro, After Effects, or CapCut, along with familiarity with basic design tools such as Canva, Photoshop, or Illustrator.

• A true enthusiasm for the gaming industry, particularly mobile games and the culture of gaming in Africa.

• Comprehensive knowledge of content trends on TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts, and X, including how to create platform-native content and localize global gaming trends for African audiences.

• A data-driven mindset towards content creation, with the capability to assess performance, report results, and enhance future content outputs.

• Competence in managing multiple projects and deadlines autonomously.

• Experience in ad optimization is considered a plus.
