This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage, advise, or assist with key account management by fostering client relationships and overseeing project delivery to ensure client retention and/or growth.
• Collaborate with the business development team on RFPs, offering strategic PowerPoint presentations and written proposals as necessary.
• Assist Account Directors and Strategists with upselling, program expansions, cross-selling accounts, or addendums for current clients.
• Provide strategic and tactical guidance to team members to ensure the successful execution of SEO programs or projects.
• Evaluate performance data and contribute to the development of key insights for quarterly and annual business reviews for major accounts.
• Collaborate closely with Account Directors and Strategists to align SEO strategies with client objectives.
• Partner with our Director of AEO/GEO to implement AI search recommendations (Answer Engine and Generative Engine Optimization) alongside SEO strategies; while the primary focus is on SEO, close collaboration with our AI search practice is essential to achieve comprehensive organic results for clients.
• Work together with Business Development and Sales to create SEO program or project plans and define scopes.
• Assist in the execution of strategies as needed for SEO clients.
• Review proposals and SOWs to ensure that technology fees and resource hours are accurately scoped before approval and delivery to clients by Channel Director(s).
• Ensure precise tracking of account resource time across the organic services Channel; review logged resource hours to confirm that execution time aligns with expectations and recommend scope adjustments as necessary.
• Directly supervise 2+ SEO strategists of varying experience levels (associate to senior) and oversee the respective teams reporting to those strategists.
• Collaborate with team members to enhance basic, intermediate, and advanced SEO knowledge, aiming to elevate staff by 1-2 levels within two years; foster a passion for SEO and digital marketing among all SEO team members.
• Develop and curate training curricula and materials in partnership with other Associate Directors and Channel Director(s) to support organic services and educate SEO team members across all levels in all areas of SEO.
• Conduct a semi-annual review of existing organic training curricula and materials, updating as necessary, in collaboration with Channel Director(s).
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in organic search engine marketing, with agency experience preferred.
• Proven expertise in planning and executing strategies to drive growth for both clients and the organization.
• Demonstrated experience in team leadership and management, with a focus on developing direct reports.
• Excellent interpersonal skills, capable of engaging with individuals at all levels within an organization, promoting strong cross-functional teamwork and positive attitudes.
• Strong project management and organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple teams and projects effectively.
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills, with a proven ability to articulate ideas persuasively in marketing and interpersonal contexts, including pitches and C-suite meetings.
• High proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and PowerPoint.
• In-depth knowledge of standard and enterprise SEO tools, including GA4, Google Search Console, enterprise crawlers like Botify, Screaming Frog, Content King, Moz (including STAT), Conductor Searchlight, BrightEdge, SEMrush, Ahrefs, etc.
• Proficiency in HTML is preferred.
