This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York.
β’ Assess responses to test questions from teacher candidates in Illinois and New York.
β’ Assimilate scoring standards, engage in discussions, and collaborate with fellow scorers during consensus scoring activities.
β’ Identify and address various forms of bias (such as implicit bias, cultural bias, leniency bias, central tendency bias, and the halo effect) and implement strategies to mitigate personal biases in scoring.
β’ Adhere to the quality and productivity standards set for the scoring program, which includes successfully passing a qualifying test prior to scoring.
β’ A bachelorβs degree or higher.
β’ A valid teaching certification in the language you are applying for AND currently teaching or have taught in public or private schools within the last three years (including regular substitute teaching).
β’ OR must be or have been educators from colleges and universities with a degree in a content-relevant field and/or have taught or advised in a content-related area within the last three years.
β’ OR must be a native or fluent speaker of the language (reading, writing, and speaking) and possess a college degree.
β’ Proficient basic computer skills (keyboard, mouse).
β’ Capability to sit for extended periods.
β’ Ability to maintain a confidential work environment.
β’ Must be eligible to work in the United States.
β’ Starting pay of $17.50 per hour.
β’ Flexibility to participate in scoring sessions that align with your schedule.
