This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Massachusetts.
• Assess the responses provided by Massachusetts teacher candidates on test questions.
• Familiarize yourself with scoring standards, engage in discussions, and collaborate with fellow scorers in consensus scoring activities.
• Identify and discuss various forms of bias (e.g., implicit bias, cultural bias, leniency bias, central tendency bias, halo effect) and implement strategies to mitigate personal biases during scoring.
• Fulfill the quality and productivity standards set for the scoring program, including successfully passing a qualifying test prior to commencing scoring.
• A bachelor’s degree or higher qualification.
• A valid teaching certification in the relevant subject area you are applying for, along with two (2) or more years of recent experience in a service role within a public school in that subject area.
• Alternatively, have served recently as a faculty member at a college, university, or program that prepares candidates for the subject you are applying for.
• Or, possess a bachelor’s and/or master’s degree and be a graduate student currently teaching courses in the relevant subject area.
• Basic computer proficiency (keyboard, mouse).
• Capability to sit for extended periods.
• Ability to uphold a confidential work environment.
• Must be eligible to work in the United States.
• Starting pay of $17.50 per hour.
