
Associate Sales Executive, Personal Lines

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist in crafting and implementing sales strategies to effectively expand and manage a business portfolio.
• Support business development initiatives within the designated territory by utilizing performance metrics to aid in the formulation of annual plans.
• Conduct evaluations of agency performance to identify opportunities for growth and improvement.
• Facilitate agency appointments and aid in the establishment of new agency partnerships.
• Participate in office visits (both in-person and virtual) to foster and enhance relationships with agency partners.
• May acquire skills to identify and pre-qualify new customer accounts and distribution opportunities for agents.
• Learn to influence agency partners by enhancing knowledge of Travelers' products, underwriting, and sales techniques.
• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure alignment of sales strategies with broader business goals.
• Gain insight into competitor products and their market capabilities.
• Utilize data and analytics for informed sales decisions and performance monitoring, while learning to use automation tools to support sales efforts and stay current with Travelers' systems.
• Leverage AI technologies to enhance industry processes, improve decision-making, and drive innovation, while continuously learning and adapting to new AI trends and tools.
• Bachelor's degree in sales, marketing, business, or a related field.
• Two or more years of experience in sales or a related field within the insurance industry.
• Certified Insurance Counselor (CIC) designation (or a commitment to obtain it).
• Familiarity with Travelers' products and the general Property & Casualty market.
• Proven skills in influencing and negotiation.
• Ability to collaboratively build and sustain relationships with both internal and external stakeholders.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Capability to define objectives and priorities, successfully meeting these goals within established timelines.
• Organizational skills to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively to achieve sales targets and deadlines.
• At least one year of experience in sales, sales support, operations, or a pertinent insurance area.
