Associate Photo Editor

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Conduct research and choose images to complement the editorial content created daily.

• Edit images using Photoshop, including color correction, resizing, and optimization for email and web to align with brand standards.

• Assist with basic graphic design tasks within established templates.

• Oversee image metadata, rights clearances, and the organization of digital assets in our Media Asset Management (MAM) system.

• Collaborate with editors, designers, and photo editors to ensure visual assets are in harmony with written content.

• Evaluate photo quality across various brands and report issues for further evaluation.

• Provide support to photo editors on special projects as needed.

• Maintain high editorial standards, guaranteeing that all visuals are clear, accurate, engaging, and reliable.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in photography, visual arts, journalism, or a related field (or equivalent experience).

• Proficient in Adobe Photoshop and the broader Adobe suite of tools.

• A solid understanding of image licensing, copyright, and the fundamentals of rights management.

• Strong editorial judgment along with an eye for exceptional photography.

• Exceptional attention to detail regarding both editorial quality and execution.

• Capability to handle multiple deadlines concurrently without compromising quality.

• Effective written and verbal communication skills for remote teamwork.

• Preferred: 0–1 year of professional or internship experience in photo editing or visual media.

• Experience with a digital asset management system.

• Familiarity with Figma, Airtable, and WordPress.

• A solid grasp of the digital media landscape and contemporary visual and media trends.
