This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Deliver strategic interim coverage across open sales territories nationwide.
• Oversee designated territories while promoting a specialized Neurology product to Movement Disorder Specialists and Neurologists.
• Assist healthcare providers in identifying and initiating appropriate patients on therapy.
• Educate physicians, staff, and healthcare professionals on Acadia products while addressing questions, objections, and concerns.
• Cultivate relationships with healthcare professionals and key opinion leaders.
• Collaborate with internal stakeholders to resolve customer issues.
• Evaluate sales potential and implement territory plans to enhance customer calls, reach, frequency, business meals, speaker programs, and approved activities.
• Develop, assess, and modify quarterly business and action plans.
• Provide pricing and reimbursement guidance, acting as a liaison between customers and Acadia.
• Submit timely reports and keep accurate expense records.
• Work in conjunction with sales leadership, teammates, and cross-functional partners.
• Attend conferences, training sessions, meetings, exhibits, and product launches.
• Engage in leadership activities, mentoring, field training, cross-functional projects, and training sessions.
• Meet or surpass sales expectations and execute territory business plans.
• Offer disease, product, reimbursement information, product samples, clinical trial data, and patient brochures.
• Manage relationships with key opinion leaders, speakers, medical societies, advocacy groups, long-term care facilities, payers, and pharmacists.
• Enhance neuroscience and Acadia product knowledge while understanding local and regional market trends.
• Act as a subject-matter expert and valued resource within the neuroscience medical community.
• A Bachelor's degree is required, preferably with a focus on the life sciences; an equivalent combination of education and relevant job experience may be accepted.
• A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Willingness to travel 90% of the time and reside in assigned geographies for 1-6 months at a time.
• Must maintain good standing with the FDA and OIG.
• Proven selling skills and the ability to engage effectively with customers.
• Capacity to quickly establish relationships with key customers and networks within the neuroscience community.
• Must be able to reside within the assigned territory in temporary housing funded by Acadia and relocate every 3 to 6 months as business demands dictate.
• Ability to demonstrate exceptional knowledge of disease states and products.
• Strong persuasive selling and negotiation abilities.
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Capability to evaluate territory business opportunities and customer needs.
• Proven ability to learn and apply technical/scientific knowledge and conduct business analyses.
• Strong organizational skills, initiative, and self-motivation.
• Ability to adhere to strict policies, work within a highly regulated environment, and maintain confidentiality of information and data.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Ability to drive extensively in a company-provided vehicle and travel overnight and by air as necessary.
• Willingness to temporarily reside within the territory for 3-6 months at a time.
• Ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 20 pounds.
