Associate Mathematician

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Define the mathematical framework of the game, encompassing its balance, volatility, and player experience.

• Create and manage the game’s PAR sheets along with other mathematical documentation, utilizing both Excel and simulations.

• Collaborate closely with the Game Designer, prototyping team, and engineering team to ensure accurate implementation of the math that aligns with the overall game design.

• Engage in playtesting and iterating on the game’s math and mechanics with a focus on optimizing the player experience.

• Work in partnership with fellow mathematicians to offer gameplay feedback and suggestions for enhancements on each other's games.

• Regularly engage with competitors’ games within the iGaming and land-based sectors to keep informed of industry trends and new mechanics.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong enthusiasm for casino games, particularly slots, in both iGaming and land-based markets.

• Experience in developing mathematical models for real-money slot games is advantageous.

• Degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Proficiency in using Excel for modeling probabilities and conducting data analysis.

• Familiarity with programming languages such as C++, C#, or Python.

• Exceptional written communication skills, particularly the ability to articulate complex and technical concepts clearly to stakeholders worldwide.

• A passion for games and a commitment to staying updated on industry trends, emerging game mechanics, and player expectations.
