This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Minnesota.
• Leads, mentors, and nurtures a team of Data Scientists and analytics experts.
• Offers technical direction, career growth support, and performance evaluations.
• Balances leadership responsibilities with hands-on work, allocating about half of the time to analytics, machine learning, and AI solution development.
• Establishes team standards, workflows, and best practices.
• Collaborates with business stakeholders to identify and prioritize high-impact analytics and AI initiatives that align with organizational objectives.
• Oversees the design, development, deployment, and operationalization of machine learning and LLM-powered solutions.
• Champions Generative AI use cases such as summarization, classification, embeddings, and decision support.
• Facilitates scalable deployment through CI/CD pipelines, Airflow orchestration, and MLOps methodologies.
• Ensures model performance, governance, and reliability.
• Converts analytical results into actionable business insights.
• Develops executive-ready dashboards and data storytelling capabilities using Power BI or similar tools.
• Works collaboratively across Engineering, Product, IT, and business teams.
• Advocates for responsible AI and data governance practices.
• Promotes process enhancements and operational efficiencies.
• Assists in the hiring and onboarding processes.
• Cultivates a collaborative, innovative, and continuous learning atmosphere within the team.
• Over 5 years of experience in data science, advanced analytics, AI, or related domains.
• At least 1 year of experience in people leadership, technical leadership, or as a team lead is preferred.
• Demonstrated experience in delivering production-level ML or AI solutions.
• Experience in leading cross-functional analytics projects.
• Preferably experienced in operationalizing GenAI or LLM-based applications.
• Strong leadership and team management abilities with a focus on mentoring and developing high-performing analytics teams.
• Proficient in machine learning, statistical modeling, and advanced analytics techniques.
• Practical experience with Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), and associated use cases (e.g., summarization, classification, retrieval, embeddings).
• Proficient in Python (preferred), SQL, and data manipulation frameworks (e.g., pandas, NumPy).
• Experience with ML frameworks and libraries (e.g., scikit-learn, LightGBM, TensorFlow, PyTorch).
• Knowledge of MLOps practices, including model deployment, monitoring, CI/CD pipelines, and workflow orchestration (e.g., Airflow).
• Experience working with cloud platforms (e.g., GCP, Azure, AWS) for scalable analytics and AI solutions.
• Strong data visualization and storytelling capabilities using tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or similar platforms.
• Ability to translate complex analytical and AI concepts into clear and actionable business insights.
• Exceptional problem-solving and critical thinking skills with a data-driven approach.
• Effective stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration abilities.
• Understanding of data governance, responsible AI practices, and data privacy standards.
