This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Ohio.

• Monitor and recognize significant legal developments, composing news articles for daily news production.

• Provide direction and tactical guidance as necessary.

• Collect news and identify relevant official documents related to events and developments within assigned practice areas.

• Determine which developments are worthy of reporting.

• Summarize and clarify court opinions and other litigation-related documents following the guidance provided by the manager.

• Write news articles for daily upload to the website and inclusion in print publications.

• Ensure all deadlines are met while producing publications promptly.

• Analyze all available web-based content usage analytics to help drive content focus.

• Possess experience in hard news reporting and demonstrate excellent news judgment.

• Hold a Bachelor's degree in journalism/communications (relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree).

• Ability to multitask and adjust priorities throughout the day.

• Capability to comprehend and articulate complex legal topics.

• Be a proficient and quick news writer.

• Ability to network with attorney sources and utilize online and other resources for information gathering.

• Exhibit excellent interviewing skills.
