Associate Information Security Analyst

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee security alerts and assist in the investigation, escalation, and resolution of potential security incidents.

• Evaluate phishing attempts, suspicious emails, and other reported security events to determine the appropriate course of action.

• Aid in the management of security configurations, policies, and access controls for both cloud and on-premises environments.

• Assist with vulnerability scans, analyze results, monitor remediation efforts, and maintain documentation.

• Contribute to the implementation and upkeep of security policies, standards, and procedures.

• Collaborate with IT teams to ensure secure deployment, configuration, and operation of systems and applications.

• Support quarterly and annual security audits by collecting evidence and documenting security processes.

• Engage in incident response activities under the guidance of senior security or IT personnel.

• Be part of an on-call rotation as required, including availability during nights and weekends.

• Carry out additional duties as assigned.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in IT, with familiarity with information security tools, processes, and best practices.

• Relevant certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Microsoft SC-900, Microsoft AZ-900, or other entry-level certifications in security, cloud, compliance, or identity are advantageous.

• Basic understanding of Microsoft Azure administration and security features, including Microsoft Entra ID, Conditional Access, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud.

• Knowledge of authentication, authorization, identity and access management, vulnerability management, and incident response.

• Competence in reviewing and analyzing security-related data, adhering to established procedures, and assisting in the identification, escalation, and resolution of security issues.

• Awareness of compliance and regulatory standards such as HIPAA, GDPR, and ISO 27001.

• Familiarity with networking fundamentals and operating systems including Windows, macOS, and Linux is preferred.

• Experience with Microsoft Sentinel, Microsoft Defender for Endpoint, and Microsoft Defender for Cloud is beneficial.

• Willingness to participate in an on-call rotation, including nights and weekends, as required.
