This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Assist senior colleagues in client coverage by fostering relationships, ensuring follow-through, and delivering exceptional daily execution.
• Develop connections with operational-level contacts within client organizations and gradually gain exposure to senior stakeholders.
• Acquire and implement knowledge of Crux Market Intelligence, product offerings, and market dynamics to aid clients in identifying opportunities within the clean energy capital stack.
• Support the execution of Crux’s capital markets and advisory services, encompassing debt, tax credits, tax equity, and M&A advisory projects.
• Aid in the onboarding process for clients and maintain ongoing engagement with Crux’s software and intelligence platforms.
• Collaborate with internal product teams and partner organizations to address active mandates and broader client requirements.
• Assist in the preparation of client-facing documents, including pitch decks, market updates, buyer lists, teasers, CIM support materials, process trackers, and financial analyses (financial models).
• Contribute to transaction execution workstreams, such as coordinating due diligence, managing processes, and preparing outreach for live mandates.
• Collect and communicate customer feedback to Product, Operations, and software teams to enhance client workflows and refine Crux’s offerings.
• Participate in the creation of Market Intelligence content and engage in webinars, events, and internal knowledge development over time.
• 2–4+ years of experience in power and utilities, renewables, clean energy finance, infrastructure investment banking, project finance, or a closely related advisory position.
• Familiarity with transactions involving a combination of debt, equity, M&A, tax equity, or tax credits, with a robust understanding of deal mechanics, even if not yet independently managing processes.
• Proficient financial modeling and analytical skills, including experience with project cash flows, valuation, sensitivities, and transaction support documentation.
• Experience in preparing materials for clients or investors such as pitch books, internal memos, CIMs, teasers, and buyer or investor lists.
• Strong organizational capabilities and meticulous attention to detail, enabling the management of multiple workstreams while maintaining high standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, sound professional judgment, and a client-service oriented mindset.
• Passion for clean energy, technology-driven financial services, and the opportunity to contribute to establishing a new M&A advisory practice at Crux.
• Willingness to travel up to 25% of the time.
• FINRA SIE, Series 79, and 63 licenses, or a commitment to obtain these under Crux’s broker-dealer sponsorship.
• We fully cover 100% of premiums for employees with a selection of plans through Aetna (nationwide) and Kaiser (WA and California), and subsidize 70% for dependents (total as a group), when applicable.
