This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New York, +2 more states.
• Oversee MEP design teams for both new and retrofitted data center projects.
• Establish HVAC technical specifications and collaborate with plumbing, electrical, and fire protection teams.
• Create and enhance design standards for the Data Center and Mission Critical sectors.
• Work collaboratively across disciplines to develop integrated technical solutions.
• Partner with Energy Modeling teams to enhance energy efficiency and reduce carbon footprint while ensuring 7x24 reliability.
• Offer technical expertise to both internal and external commissioning teams.
• Act as a representative for JB&B at industry events, conferences, and seminars to enhance brand visibility.
• Travel to client and project locations throughout the U.S.
• Bachelor's Degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent relevant experience.
• Minimum of 10 years of experience in facility design and construction settings.
• Proven experience in the design, construction, and commissioning of data center HVAC, standby generation, and related fuel oil systems.
• Familiarity with Revit software.
• Professional Engineering (PE) license is preferred.
• Experience with designs involving Chillers, Cooling Towers, AHUs, Heat Pumps, and Generators.
• Knowledge of energy modeling techniques.
• Experience in process water flushing and treatment.
• Familiarity with Building Controls Systems.
• Understanding of ASHRAE 90.1, 90.4, and TC 9.9 publications.
