This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead a team of highly skilled transactional attorneys responsible for negotiating intricate commercial contracts, particularly focusing on customer agreements, including SaaS, licensing, and service contracts.
• Collaborate with Sales, Finance, Marketing, Product, and Customer Success teams, working closely to foster revenue growth while effectively managing legal risks.
• Identify and mitigate potential legal and business risks associated with contracts.
• Develop strategies and work with Legal Operations to create and implement agreement templates (such as MSAs and licensing agreements) and internal enablement documents (including playbooks, FAQs, and one-pagers).
• Assess contract terms and conditions to ensure compliance with company policies and relevant federal and state regulations.
• Articulate contract terminology to customers and other stakeholders in clear, everyday language.
• Engage enthusiastically in initiatives that impact various facets of the business, collaborating effectively with individuals across the organization.
• 8-10 years of legal experience, preferably with previous in-house counsel experience, specializing in negotiating and drafting technology-related contracts and commercial agreements.
• Experience in people management and team building is a plus.
• Proven experience in negotiating legal terms with government entities and private companies.
• Proficiency with modern SaaS tools such as Slack, Salesforce, Docusign, and other cloud-based software platforms.
• Experience working alongside business stakeholders to ensure agreements align with internal corporate policies and processes.
• Capability to identify and evaluate legal issues, assist in structuring transactions, and provide balanced advice that considers business objectives and legal risks.
• Skill in identifying, analyzing, and proposing solutions for challenges and customer complaints/concerns.
• Ability to handle a significant volume of customer contracts concurrently while maintaining speed, accuracy, and risk management in a dynamic sales setting.
• Demonstrated legal judgment in ambiguous situations, knowing when to escalate issues and when to proceed pragmatically.
• Strong attention to detail, excellent interpersonal and communication skills, coupled with an enthusiastic, proactive attitude.
• Outstanding organizational skills and the ability to juggle multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced business environment.
• Must hold a valid license to practice law in at least one (1) US State and maintain good standing.
• A good sense of humor and a readiness to tackle challenges that arise is certainly advantageous.
