📋 Description

• Assist in ensuring data transparency by reviewing datasets for clarity, completeness, and adherence to journal standards.

• Verify metadata and documentation: Confirm that authors submit accessible, well-organized metadata that facilitates reproducibility.

• Detect gaps or issues: Report any missing information, inconsistencies, or vague methodologies to the editorial team.

• Advocate for best practices: Support authors in enhancing responsible data management, open science, and ethical research behaviors.

• Collaborate effectively: Adhere to shared workflows and foster a positive, inclusive editorial atmosphere.

• Educational background in ecology or a related field.

• Exceptional attention to detail and confidence in handling ecological datasets.

• Ability to communicate clearly and accessibly in writing.

• Capacity to work independently and meet deadlines.

• Experience in data management, coding, or reproducible research methodologies.

• Familiarity with open data platforms (e.g., Dryad, Zenodo).

• Enthusiasm for ecological publishing and understanding of editorial processes.
