This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Washington.
• Lead local auction initiatives by providing senior-level direction to align with business objectives and enhance auction processes, customer engagement, and team member involvement.
• Cultivate and utilize strong relationships across the organization and with key clients to achieve results.
• Collaborate strategically with various teams to determine project priorities and advance essential business initiatives within the region.
• Engage in the creation and execution of strategic plans, goals, and objectives for regional operations, ensuring they align with the organization's overall aims.
• Counsel senior leadership on strategic objectives by collecting and analyzing relevant business, financial, and operational data from the region.
• Use data to swiftly pinpoint opportunities and propose solutions to enhance business activities and performance in the region.
• Ensure the regional operations and individual sites operate efficiently and economically in line with strategic goals and objectives.
• Collaborate with project management and operations teams to guarantee effective execution of change management initiatives throughout the region and its locations.
• Mentor and hold accountable a team of General Managers (Senior Leaders), successfully implementing succession planning through effective coaching, leadership development, and performance management.
• Serve as a primary contact and change agent for other business units regarding regional operations.
• Work cross-functionally to clearly design and implement new processes, systems, and programs to enhance the effectiveness of regional operations.
• Ensure that Auction team members and General Managers comply with established safety policies and procedures, fostering a secure working environment.
• A Bachelor's degree is required.
• Must reside in the Pacific or Mountain Time Zone or be willing to relocate to an area within these time zones.
• Ability to travel up to 60% of the time, as required for the Associate Director role supporting various sites.
• At least 8 years of experience in leading complex business transformation initiatives, developing talent, and addressing intricate operational challenges in a high-volume setting, possibly with experience in lean manufacturing.
• Familiarity with key operations principles (such as Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, etc.) is advantageous.
• Proficient in strategic data analysis.
• Demonstrated ability to swiftly identify opportunities and independently propose effective solutions, alongside change management and leadership skills.
• Strong leadership capabilities—leading through encouragement and coaching, while effectively managing conflict through positive resolution techniques.
• Comprehensive understanding and a proven history of managing operations, particularly in Auction Operations.
• A solid track record of guiding and developing exempt-level leaders while seamlessly implementing significant changes and growth or efficiency initiatives.
• Proven ability to resolve complex issues autonomously and to assist others in navigating complex problem resolution and leading change.
• Highly skilled in computer systems and applications.
• Proficient in reading, writing, speaking, and understanding English.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic production environment.
• Demonstrated capacity to provide valuable and actionable feedback.
• Flexibility to work variable schedules as needed.
• Must have a valid driver's license and be qualified to operate a motor vehicle.
