This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Manage or sponsor multiple projects simultaneously, often across diverse clients, industries, and subjects.
• Strategically inform client strategies, demonstrating a keen understanding of the commercial advantages and trade-offs associated with sustainable packaging design.
• Capable of facilitating discussions with executive teams regarding critical business decisions aligned with these objectives.
• Possess exceptional skills in client, project, and team management, including the ability to delegate tasks, clearly communicate client needs, and oversee the entire project scope.
• Provide robust technical oversight and quality assurance while supporting colleagues and junior team members, ensuring high-quality, impactful deliverables for clients.
• Guide clients on integrating sustainability into EPR planning and packaging design processes, covering aspects such as material selection, design playbooks, product architecture, durability, energy efficiency, end-of-life considerations, and financial implications.
• Conduct quantitative modeling to establish a client’s packaging baseline and prepare for EPR reporting.
• Execute thorough quality control on project-related research, collecting and analyzing data while engaging with various stakeholders.
• Analyze data to identify discrepancies and develop sound approaches and assumptions to address these gaps.
• Implement and enhance digital tools and data frameworks to manage product sustainability data across design, manufacturing, and supplier networks (e.g., EPR reporting tools, sustainability data platforms, etc.).
• Create and present executive-ready reports that translate complex technical data into clear, actionable insights for C-suite executives, as well as product, manufacturing, and sustainability leaders.
• Cultivate and maintain trusted client relationships, identifying opportunities to expand EPR and packaging sustainability programs and innovation initiatives.
• Collaborate with internal Anthesis experts in strategy, climate, circularity, and digital services to provide integrated product sustainability solutions.
• Contribute to thought leadership on EPR, sustainable packaging design, life cycle thinking, and technology-enabled sustainability transformation.
• Bachelor’s degree in Materials Science, Chemistry, Engineering, Product Design, Environmental Science, or a related field; a graduate degree is preferred.
• Over 8 years of professional experience (packaging engineering or equivalent is required).
• Strong team leadership, communication, problem-solving, and critical thinking abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal command of the English language.
• Deep understanding of the technical attributes and applications of packaging materials.
• Familiarity with US and Global EPR regulations is preferred.
• Knowledge of Life Cycle Assessments for various packaging materials, formats, and usage scenarios.
• Advanced analytical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience with Alteryx, Tableau, NetSuite, and PowerBI is preferred but not mandatory.
• Client and project management skills to ensure timely project delivery, adherence to budget, and meeting client expectations.
• Strong business development capabilities, with an aptitude for identifying client challenges and adapting proposals to address them.
• Effective time management skills, with the ability to adhere to deadlines and prioritize tasks.
• High level of organization and attention to detail.
• Team-oriented with the ability to collaborate effectively on a global scale, supporting Anthesis’ values and JEDIA initiatives.
