📋 Description

• Provide leadership, strategic direction, and management of a Medical Science Liaison (MSL) team to further the company's commitment to advancing precision medicine.

• Ensure the team is sufficiently staffed, well-trained, and has a clear understanding of their roles in executing the medical plan.

• Develop and implement strategies to engage with key opinion leaders (KOLs), healthcare professionals, and other relevant stakeholders.

• Lead, mentor, and manage a team of MSLs to promote effective communication and collaboration with healthcare professionals and KOLs.

• Create and execute strategic plans to facilitate the dissemination of scientific data and information related to Tempus’ products and services.

• Establish and nurture relationships with KOLs, healthcare professionals, and other stakeholders to support clinical and scientific goals.

• Oversee the creation and presentation of scientific presentations, publications, and other educational resources.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including clinical development, marketing, and sales, to support product launches and other initiatives.

• Monitor and assess industry trends, competitive intelligence, and scientific advancements to guide strategic planning.

• Ensure adherence to all regulatory and legal standards in the dissemination of scientific information.

• Represent Tempus at scientific conferences, meetings, and other relevant events.


⛳️ Requirements

• Advanced degree (PhD, PharmD, MD, DO, or DNP) in a pertinent scientific discipline (e.g., oncology, molecular biology, genetics).

• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a Medical Science Liaison or similar medical role, and/or at least 2 years in a relevant managerial or leadership position within the industry.

• Strong understanding of oncology, molecular biology, and the healthcare environment.

• Expertise or solid knowledge in tumor oncology therapeutics.

• Exceptional communication, presentation, and interpersonal abilities.

• Demonstrated capacity to build and sustain relationships with KOLs and other stakeholders.

• Strong strategic thinking and problem-solving capabilities.

• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, dynamic setting.

• Familiarity with genomic laboratory-developed testing (LDT) and compliance with CLIA-88 and CAP guidelines.

• Knowledge of in vitro diagnostic (IVD) regulatory guidelines from the FDA (21 CFR Part 809, CFR Part 820, 21 CFR Part 807, 21 CFR Part 812, 21 CFR Part 814) and the Sunshine Act (2013).

• Willingness to travel (up to 50%).
