Associate Director – Medicaid Entitlement & Coverage Strategy

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Alaska, +8 more states.

📋 Description

• Direct GRT's application process to achieve Medicaid QE status in all eligible operating states.

• Supervise the rollout of SOAR training for designated personnel across all operating states.

• Collaborate with GRT's medical and product leadership to create, implement, and uphold a standardized medical frailty documentation protocol.

• Spearhead the creation and execution of systems, workflows, and member support strategies aimed at helping eligible members fulfill state Medicaid requirements.

• Assist GRT's Government Affairs team by tracking federal and state legislation.

• Work with the Government Affairs Team to convert policy developments into actionable operational updates.

• Partner with the Product Team to design and sustain an internal tracking system that identifies members at risk of losing Medicaid coverage.

• Collaborate with the Learning and Development Team to develop and provide training and educational materials for entitlement staff, counselors, and clinical providers regarding QE processes and SSDI/SSI application assistance.

• Create and maintain a comprehensive evaluation framework that assesses coverage retention, redetermination outcomes, and reasons for Medicaid disenrollment.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree in social work, public health, public policy, health administration, or a related field is required.

• A Master’s degree is preferred.

• At least 8-10 years of experience in healthcare administration, entitlement services, social work, or a related field is necessary.

• Experience with a SUD treatment organization is preferred.

• Proven experience working with state agencies, government offices, or managed care organizations is required.

• Must have access to reliable internet and telephone services, specifically a minimum of 50M download and 10M upload speeds, along with a strong WiFi signal from your remote work location.

• Must fulfill pre-employment criteria and adhere to all applicable state and job-related guidelines for background screening.
