Associate Director – Life Sciences Advisory – Medical Affairs/Real World Evidence

📋 Description

• Lead initiatives centered on medical affairs strategy, integrated evidence planning, real-world evidence study design and execution, and AI-driven analytics methodologies.

• Create solutions for evidence generation, utilization of real-world data, and omnichannel scientific communication.

• Contribute to annual revenue goals through effective project delivery and upselling of RWE/digital health solutions.

• Ensure that deliverables align with client expectations for scientific integrity and regulatory compliance.

• Provide guidance to clients on maximizing the use of AI for predictive analytics, medical content automation, and stakeholder engagement.

• Contribute to Guidehouse's thought leadership by authoring white papers and delivering presentations on digital transformation in medical affairs.

• Assist in proposal creation and client pitches that highlight digital health and AI capabilities.

• Identify opportunities for broadening Guidehouse’s presence in technology-enabled medical affairs solutions.

• Mentor junior consultants and promote a collaborative environment that reflects Guidehouse’s RI²SE values.

• Associate Directors are tasked with overseeing projects from inception to completion. In this capacity, you will lead the designated project team's activities and support the daily management of client relations. You will effectively formulate and oversee work plans, staffing, timelines, and budgets while managing multiple projects concurrently. Your deliverables will be of the highest quality and ready for client presentation. In this prominent role, you’ll facilitate team meetings and guide, manage, and coach staff consultants, offering constructive feedback on their project contributions and overall career trajectories. You will also collaborate with Directors and Managing Directors, keeping them informed of project status and significant developments. Additionally, you will participate in sales efforts and practice development.


⛳️ Requirements

• BA/BS degree in Science, Biomedical Engineering, Healthcare, Business, or a related field of study.

• 6+ years of experience in medical affairs and RWE within the pharmaceutical, biotech, or consulting sectors.

• Strong grasp of the pharmaceutical industry, including drug development, global regulatory requirements, and compliance frameworks.

• Proven experience with real-world data sources, digital health platforms, and AI analytics.

• Ability to analyze complex information, pinpoint key issues, and devise effective strategies.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills to clearly present strategic recommendations to diverse stakeholders, including senior management.

• 3+ years of experience leading project engagements, encompassing planning, scoping, budget formulation, management, and resource allocation, while managing multiple or more complex projects within defined scope, timeline, and budget.

• 3+ years of formal management experience to guide team performance toward achieving project objectives and exceeding client expectations.

• Must be willing and able to travel to client locations across the US, up to 30% of the time.

• Demonstrated success in formally supervising, coaching, and mentoring junior staff, including taking ownership of their career development.

• Must be a collaborative team player.

• Authorized or eligible to work for any US employer without sponsorship.
