Associate Director, Global Trade Investigations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Connecticut.

📋 Description

• Conduct internal investigations related to export control and sanctions compliance issues, including interviewing witnesses, collecting pertinent documents, and consulting with subject matter experts within Pratt & Whitney and RTX.

• Research the relevance of U.S. and international regulations concerning controlled military and dual-use items, and assess whether a situation constitutes a breach of Global Trade regulations or policies.

• Prepare disclosures and reports for submission to U.S. and foreign governmental authorities as well as internal stakeholders.

• Assist with initiatives and projects within the Global Trade Investigations & Disclosures group as needed.

• Continuously foster and enhance Pratt & Whitney’s 'Speak Up' culture while maintaining integrity at all times.

⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree with over 10 years of legal experience, including a minimum of five years as a practicing attorney.

• Must be in good standing with a state bar association and complete in-house counsel registration promptly after hiring.

• U.S. Citizen - U.S. citizenship is mandatory, as only U.S. citizens are permitted to access certain essential systems or locations.

• Knowledge and experience with U.S. export, import, and sanctions regulations, including the Export Administration Regulations (EAR) and the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).

• Proficiency in using and understanding digital technology tools, including software platforms utilized in engineering and manufacturing fields.

• Capability to work and communicate effectively with all levels of management, internal clients, and Global Trade professionals throughout the enterprise.

• Proven ability to operate with minimal daily supervision while managing multiple priorities within competing time constraints.

• Experience in an aerospace manufacturing setting is advantageous, but not mandatory.
