Associate Director, Global Medical Writing

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Prepare, update, and refine scientific manuscripts for peer-reviewed journals, as well as abstracts, posters, and presentations for medical conferences.

• Collaborate with the Publication Planning team to organize kick-off meetings with investigators and establish publication development timelines.

• Engage with internal stakeholders to ensure that publications are precise, clear, and aligned with strategic objectives.

• Attend meetings with clinical trial investigators and key opinion leaders to review and revise drafts, managing the editing process to ensure timely completion of scientific publications.

• Stay informed about the latest trends, information, and developments in targeted therapy areas, conducting literature searches as necessary for publication drafting. Analyze literature relevant to scientific publications. Comprehend, assimilate, and interpret data and other information sources with appropriate guidance from authors and therapeutic teams.

• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry and company standards and best practices related to scientific publications.

• Comprehend and adhere to the applicable company publication policies and procedures, serving as a subject matter expert on internal processes and relevant publication guidelines.

⛳️ Requirements

• MS/PhD/PharmD or over 8 years of experience in writing scientific publications. Professional credentials/certification (e.g., CMPP) is advantageous.

• Familiarity with endocrinology and/or rare diseases is beneficial but not mandatory.

• Knowledge of US and international regulations, requirements, and guidelines pertaining to scientific publications (ICMJE, Good Publication Practice, etc.)

• Capability to draft directly from data outputs and clinical documents (protocols, CSRs, etc.).

• Strong communication skills and attention to detail; ability to assimilate and interpret scientific content and convey information effectively to diverse audiences.
