Associate Director, Epic Clinical Program Manager – Laboratory & Pathology

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee enterprise technology projects from their initial planning stages through to stabilization.

• Establish governance structures, set priorities, and develop rollout strategies for programs.

• Manage the execution of projects and workstreams effectively.

• Oversee scope, staffing, risks, dependencies, and handle executive escalations.

• Facilitate executive reporting and ensure stakeholder alignment.

• Direct activities related to cutover, go-live, stabilization, and transition to support.

• Act as the main point of contact among laboratory operations, pathology, IT, Epic teams, infrastructure, interface teams, DI, RALS, and third-party vendors.

• Eliminate obstacles, coordinate cross-functional dependencies, and ensure timely decision-making.

• Provide leadership in the implementation and optimization of Epic Beaker.

• Drive transformation of laboratory workflows, testing and validation strategies, accreditation-compliant documentation and change control, instrumentation and interface integration, as well as operational readiness and adoption planning.

• Convert technical and operational complexities into actionable recommendations.

• Assist in client growth, proposal development, and thought leadership initiatives.

• Identify opportunities to enhance relationships and provide additional value to existing accounts.

• Guide consulting teams across various workstreams.

• Offer coaching, resource planning, staffing oversight, and support talent development.

• Serve as a trusted advisor to executives in health systems, laboratory leadership, and IT organizations.

• Manage executive relationships and contribute to business development efforts.

⛳️ Requirements

• A MINIMUM of EIGHT (8) years of experience in healthcare IT consulting, laboratory systems, EHR implementation, or laboratory operations.

• An Associate's degree or higher is required; years of experience may be substituted for the degree.

• Extensive expertise in Epic Beaker, including certification in Beaker CP, Beaker AP, or related modules.

• Proven track record of leading large-scale laboratory, pathology, or Epic implementation programs.

• Experience in managing executive stakeholders and navigating complex multi-workstream engagements.

• Strong understanding of laboratory operations, testing, interfaces, instrumentation, and operational readiness.

• Familiarity with CAP, CLIA, Joint Commission, and laboratory accreditation standards.

• Demonstrated experience in leading consulting teams and cultivating client relationships.

• Eligible Candidate Status: US Citizen, Permanent Resident, or Green Card Holder.

• Willingness to travel up to 50%.
