This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Florida.
• Develop and implement a comprehensive, federated Data and AI Governance framework, including policies, standards, operating models, and decision rights that align with the global business strategy and emerging AI/ML initiatives.
• Articulate the vision and roadmap for enterprise data quality, master data management (MDM), data lineage, and metadata management programs, ensuring alignment with AI readiness.
• Obtain executive sponsorship and budget for all governance initiatives, effectively communicating value and managing the program portfolio.
• Direct the Responsible AI program by creating and enforcing policies throughout the AI/ML model lifecycle, focusing on fairness, bias mitigation, explainability (XAI), and transparency.
• Ensure compliance with global data privacy, security, and AI regulations (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act) in collaboration with Legal, Compliance, and Security teams.
• Manage the AI Risk Assessment process, proactively identifying and mitigating technical, ethical, and reputational risks related to AI systems and their underlying data.
• Establish and expand the Data Stewardship and AI Governance bodies, defining roles and responsibilities while empowering a network of Data/AI Owners within business units.
• Promote Data/AI literacy and foster a cultural shift towards data ownership and responsible AI usage across the organization.
• Oversee the selection, implementation, and effective use of modern Data and AI Governance tools (e.g., Data Catalog, MDM, AI Risk Management platforms).
• Lead and mentor a high-performing global team of governance specialists, architects, and analysts.
• Act as the primary point of contact for the C-suite, delivering clear, concise, and actionable updates on the status of Data & AI Governance, risk posture, and compliance.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, or Engineering.
• Over 15 years of progressive experience in Data Management, Data Governance, or Information Technology.
• More than 10 years of experience leading data governance frameworks (e.g., DAMA-DMBOK, CDMC, DCAM) and executing their practical implementation in a large-scale enterprise setting.
• At least 8 years in a senior leadership role managing global teams and complex, cross-functional programs.
• A minimum of 8 years of experience in the AI/ML model lifecycle, covering data preparation, model training, deployment, and monitoring, along with the specific governance challenges they entail (e.g., model drift, bias).
• 8+ years of experience with major cloud-based data platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and data governance tools (Collibra, Alation, Atlan, or similar).
• At least 5 years of experience in AI/GenAI governance, model risk management, and compliance frameworks.
• 5+ years of experience with current and evolving global data and AI regulations (GDPR, CCPA, EU AI Act, etc.) and the ability to translate legal requirements into technical and process controls.
• Must be authorized to work in the US without restriction. Sponsorship is not available.
