Associate Director – Cybersecurity Posture, Hygiene and AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina.

📋 Description

• Develop a robust and mature security posture and hygiene strategy specifically for AI technologies.

• Build and lead a team tasked with implementing and advancing the CIS Top 18 critical controls.

• Formulate and carry out strategies for ongoing monitoring and enhancement of security controls.

• Ensure the integrity of security configurations to avert unauthorized access and data breaches.

• Work in conjunction with IT and network departments to synchronize security measures.

• Create and keep updated documentation regarding security controls and incidents.

• Perform regular evaluations to pinpoint areas needing improvement.

• Cultivate strong partnerships with technology stakeholders.

• Stay updated on cybersecurity trends to refine strategies.

• Lead initiatives aimed at educating and training team members on cybersecurity practices.

• Manage daily operations, including risk management and response strategies.

• Develop collaborative relationships with business and technology leaders.

• Retain expert-level professional and technical knowledge in the field.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree with 9 years of experience OR Master’s Degree with 8 years of experience OR PhD with 4 years of experience.

• Demonstrated leadership in cybersecurity, overseeing security posture and hygiene strategies.

• Proven experience in implementing an AI security program on an enterprise scale.

• Advanced knowledge of operating systems and networking protocols.

• In-depth understanding of cybersecurity terminology and concepts.

• Comprehensive grasp of risk management principles.

• Strong critical thinking and analytical abilities.

• Excellent leadership and collaboration skills.

• Superior written and verbal communication skills.

• Relevant professional cybersecurity certifications are highly preferred.
