Associate Director – Cybersecurity Engineering

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Jersey, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Create and implement security measures across AWS, Azure, and/or Google Cloud Platform (GCP)

• Safeguard cloud identity, networking, workloads, data, containers, and APIs

• Establish security guardrails utilizing Infrastructure as Code (IaC) and policy-as-code

• Incorporate security into CI/CD pipelines and cloud deployment workflows

• Detect and resolve cloud misconfigurations, vulnerabilities, excessive permissions, and attack vectors

• Assist with cloud security monitoring, logging, threat detection, and incident management

• Collaborate with Cloud, Application, DevOps, Security, and engineering teams

• Offer practical security advice and conduct architecture evaluations

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor's degree is mandatory

• At least 8 years of experience in AWS, Azure, and/or GCP architecture and security

• Proficient in IAM, cloud networking, encryption, secrets management, and workload security

• Experience with Infrastructure as Code tools

• Familiarity with Git, CI/CD, Python, PowerShell, Bash, or similar automation tools

• Knowledge of Kubernetes and container security

• Acquainted with cloud security platforms like Wiz and AWS Security Hub

• Proven experience designing security measures for large-scale or regulated enterprise settings

• Understanding of Zero Trust, CIS Benchmarks, NIST, DevSecOps, and cloud security architecture principles

• Relevant cloud or security certifications are advantageous

• Excellent troubleshooting, analytical, and communication skills

• No visa sponsorship available

• Willingness to travel up to 10%

• Valid driving license is not required
