Associate Director, CRM Software Engineering - Patient Access

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Plan and develop all implementations of the CRM platform, covering every phase of the software development lifecycle.

• Assume a leadership position in the technical design and execution of CRM platform solutions.

• Engage in all elements of the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

• Collaborate with all UBC technology units and affiliates as necessary to design and implement technical solutions and capabilities.

• Contribute to the design of UBC’s infrastructure and software development environments.

• Occasionally assist in supporting UBC’s infrastructure, including troubleshooting and upgrades.

• Foster and maintain a collaborative software development environment.

• Suggest and implement tools related to team-based software development.

• Participate in demonstrating technical capabilities to UBC technical, operations, and client stakeholders as required.

• Develop and assess application development practices.

• Manage resources across all platform development initiatives.

• This is a technical internal role focused on delivering software solutions that meet and exceed client needs.

• Stakeholder Management: Ability to translate complex business objectives into actionable system architecture.

• Change Management: Facilitate seamless user adoption and ongoing improvements to ensure teams effectively utilize the system.

• Supervisory Responsibility: Oversee Software Development Managers, Software Architects, Software Development Engineers, and Software Development Engineers in Test.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related fields, or a suitable combination of education and experience.

• At least 10 years of software development oversight in a technical setting, with a minimum of 3 years in a leadership role.

• Mastery of Dynamics 365: Extensive experience working with Customer Engagement (CE) modules, particularly D365 Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing.

• Integration Skills: Knowledge of how to connect Dynamics 365 with third-party applications, legacy systems, and Microsoft Azure cloud services.

• 3 years of experience with Power Platform & Dataverse: Skilled in creating custom applications, automated workflows, and virtual agents using Power Apps, Power Automate, and Microsoft Dataverse.

• Exhibits an innovative mindset by constantly seeking improved solutions, distinguishing offerings, and leveraging the most effective technologies.

• Must possess a solid understanding of software architecture and design patterns.

• Over 5 years of experience in the Microsoft Azure Cloud.

• Detail-oriented and capable of steering projects to successful completion.

• Strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel.

• Must be adaptable with work hours.

• Comprehensive knowledge and hands-on experience across all phases of the SDLC.

• Exceptional application documentation skills.

• Solid grasp of Agile software development principles.

• Extensive experience with the Microsoft .NET stack, including but not limited to Microsoft Visual Studio, TFS/Azure DevOps, Visual Basic or C#, web-based development frameworks (such as ASP.NET, WebForms, MVC, Angular, Node.js), and web services/API development.

• Extensive experience with Relational Database Management Systems, particularly Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle.
