This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Lead teams in cost management to achieve project goals and meet client expectations.
• Act as the main commercial liaison for clients, stakeholders, consultants, and contractors.
• Oversee and conduct quantity surveying, cost controls, budgeting, forecasting, and change management.
• Assist in the strategic and operational management of Cost Management and Project Controls services.
• Report on commercial status, risks, opportunities, and overall project performance.
• Promote the adoption of best practices across project and program execution.
• Enhance cost management procedures, processes, templates, and reporting tools.
• Conduct performance reviews for staff and facilitate employee development.
• Set objectives and strategic direction for project teams.
• Mentor and coach talent to build high-performing teams.
• Manage financial performance of commissions, including fee forecasts, resource planning, and profitability reporting.
• Develop strategies for risk mitigation and track key performance indicators.
• Implement effective delivery methodologies, systems, and best practices.
• Assist with quality assurance and internal business management processes.
• Provide clients with guidance on procurement strategies, contract administration, capital planning, and commercial risk management.
• Foster relationships with clients, contractors, consultants, and internal teams.
• Engage in leadership meetings and prepare presentations and reports for executive-level stakeholders.
• Update on project performance, staffing, commercial status, and strategic initiatives.
• Support business development efforts, proposal preparation, interviews, and client engagements.
• Capture and disseminate lessons learned and benchmarking insights.
• Attend relevant industry and networking events.
• Comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities.
• A bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Cost Management, Engineering, Architecture, or a related discipline in construction.
• At least 8 years of experience in cost management, quantity surveying, commercial management, or project controls within the construction sector.
• Extensive experience working on life sciences, pharmaceutical, biotechnology, laboratory, research & development, advanced manufacturing, healthcare, or other highly technical construction projects.
• Proven experience in leading cost management teams and managing client relationships on complex capital programs.
• Strong understanding of cost planning, estimating, procurement, change management, contract administration, and commercial controls.
• Experience in developing and reviewing budgets, forecasts, cost reports, cash flow analyses, and final accounts.
• Exceptional leadership, presentation, organizational, written, and verbal communication abilities.
• Capability to manage multiple projects, stakeholders, and priorities in a dynamic environment.
• Demonstrated ability to develop teams, drive continuous improvement, and provide outstanding client service.
• A graduate degree in a related field is preferred.
• Experience in construction consultancy is strongly preferred.
• RICS accreditation or an equivalent professional certification is preferred.
