Associate Director, Construction Estimator – CSLA, Data Center

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee a team of estimators delivering cost consultancy services for construction projects.

• Establish best practices for estimating processes and methodologies.

• Focus on conceptual estimating and offer expert advice to team members.

• Guide and mentor estimators, aiding in their professional growth.

• Monitor and report on key performance indicators for both the organization and the team.

• Provide advice, guidance, and analysis related to estimating.

• Deliver formal estimating reports that encompass quantity, cost, escalation, assumptions, and clarifications.

• Conduct cost risk analysis and participate in value engineering efforts.

• Negotiate and authorize final accounts.

• Create white paper market reports focusing on construction cost management.

• Oversee internal systems for purchase orders, invoicing, and risk management.

• Innovate new estimating services that align with industry standards.

• Assist in business development, key client engagement, and tracking opportunities.

• Lead bids for estimating scopes of work and present findings to prospective clients.

• Comply with applicable SOX control responsibilities.

⛳️ Requirements

• A bachelor’s degree in construction management, cost management, quantity surveying, engineering, or a construction-related field.

• A graduate degree in quantity surveying, cost management, construction management, or engineering is preferred.

• At least 8 years of relevant experience in an estimating role within the construction industry.

• Experience in providing conceptual estimating services and/or pre-construction services at a construction management or related firm.

• Strongly preferred construction consultancy experience.

• Exceptional presentation, verbal, written, organizational, and communication skills.

• Strong skills in stakeholder management.

• Proven experience in leading estimating teams.

• In-depth expertise in construction estimating, cost planning, benchmarking, and market analysis.

• Strong comprehension of commercial and technical factors unique to data center construction.
