This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Switzerland.
• Propel growth within Lonza’s Specialized Modalities platform.
• Cultivate robust customer relationships throughout mainland Europe.
• Identify and develop new business opportunities.
• Collaborate closely with internal experts to deliver customized solutions.
• Manage the sales cycle from initial contact through negotiation and deal closure.
• Comprehend customer requirements and effectively position solutions.
• Establish a wide network across the cell and gene therapy, mRNA, and Microbial sectors.
• Strategize, organize, and participate in customer meetings, conferences, and industry events to generate new leads.
• Provide market insights and competitive intelligence.
• A BSc, MSc, or PhD in a scientific discipline is preferred.
• Over 5 years of commercial experience in the CDMO sector within the pharmaceutical industry.
• Proficient in written and spoken English; proficiency in additional languages is advantageous.
• Demonstrated experience managing a complete sales or project lifecycle.
• Proven track record in leading contract negotiations as part of securing contracts.
• Ability to proactively guide all stakeholders involved up to the finalization of a contract.
• Skill in creating presentations focused on customer needs.
• Familiarity with the drug development lifecycle.
• Strong technical knowledge of cell and gene therapy, mRNA, and Microbial manufacturing principles.
• Experience with CRM tools such as Salesforce is desirable.
