This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Saudi Arabia.
• Identify, pursue, and secure business opportunities within the Middle East region. This role will require substantial international travel, coordination of trade shows, and a comprehensive understanding of country-specific budget cycles. Success will stem from cultivating a profound understanding of the existing and potential customer base, familiarizing yourself with current or planned programmatic and technical roadmaps, and being aware of the competitive landscape. This expertise will guide capture strategies, revenue forecasts, and contribute to technology development plans. Tactically, you will maintain ongoing engagements with existing and prospective clients, develop growth strategies, track buying cycles for opportunities, and lead specific proposal and capture initiatives.
• Formulate capture strategies. Create cohesive business plans and execution models that delineate acquisition strategies, establish clear alignment with investment strategies, and drive towards successful program execution. Success will involve engaging key stakeholders to shape requirements, identifying and securing relevant funding, and crafting compelling win themes and supplier strategies for competitive captures.
• Promote product adoption and facilitate program transitions. Anduril excels by innovating new technologies to address clients' pressing operational challenges. This requires delivering initial concepts to clients through early design experiments, studies, and collaborative research and development that pave the way for major program implementations. Internally, you will be responsible for translating client challenges back to our engineering team, identifying key milestones, and proactively communicating with appropriate levels of the organization. Your assessment of client needs will inform new product decisions, and your continuous engagement with clients will provide essential feedback to ensure Anduril's product suite remains best-in-class.
• Expand existing business. While the primary focus will be on shaping and securing new business opportunities, a successful Associate Director will represent all Business Lines within Anduril's portfolio. You will collaborate with execution teams and product engineers to enhance business with current clients. This will not only involve expanding existing projects but also leveraging current partnerships to explore new work areas or opportunities by nurturing and strengthening those client relationships.
• Convey our value to clients. Members of the BD team serve as brand ambassadors, representing Anduril to a wide audience including clients, partners, competitors, and the general public. You must embody the company's ethos, sharing insights that reflect our approach to developing next-generation defense technology and our competitive advantages in this field.
• The ideal candidate will be a demonstrated leader in development and growth, with prior experience in commercial or defense capture and sales, showcasing a track record of building, executing, and succeeding in business capture strategies, particularly in international markets and with Middle Eastern customers.
• Previous acquisition or operational experience with defense systems across various roles and missions.
• Past experience working with foreign militaries or defense ministries, emphasizing current operational needs and relationships with key partners in the Middle East.
• A strong aptitude and enthusiasm for thriving in organizations with emerging structures, a high-ownership culture, and a "whatever it takes" mentality.
• A talent for delivering results in ambiguous environments while maintaining composure, strong interpersonal skills, and executive presence.
• Exceptional writing and communication skills, with experience in briefing senior executives and clients.
• A bachelor's degree.
• Willingness to travel 50% - 75% of the time.
• Eligibility to obtain and maintain an active U.S., U.K., or Australian Secret security clearance.
