This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.
• Formulate WAC and net pricing strategies during the launch and throughout the lifecycle for each biosimilar asset.
• Construct pricing models, including channel-specific models (Pharmacy/PBM vs Buy and Bill/ASP), simulate ASP impact scenarios, elucidate trade-offs, and forecast outcomes.
• Deliver pricing and strategy proposals to senior leadership and key stakeholders to enhance patient access.
• Act as a commercial payor and government contracting authority within the organization on statutory pricing compliance, price transparency reporting, and GTN effects stemming from contracts.
• Collaborate with Finance on gross-to-net (GTN) budget forecasts, accrual computations, and all matters related to gross-to-net.
• Oversee all Government Pricing programs, including statutory price calculations (ASP, AMP, BP, PHS, NFAMP, FSS), ensuring compliance with Federal regulations and statutes.
• Manage the implementation, administration, claim validation, and payment processes for Payor and government agreements with both the internal team and a third-party vendor.
• Work closely with Legal to confirm contract language, agreement conditions, and program adherence.
• Serve as the main contact for the Pricing Compendia, reporting any pricing or product updates to the market.
• Keep track of competitive pricing shifts across reference products and rival biosimilars; suggest response strategies.
• Maintain governance over a pricing repository containing all product pricing and terms accessible to distributors to facilitate seamless product order releases.
• Participate in and oversee Sarbanes-Oxley compliance for the Pricing Committee.
• Create and uphold departmental SOPs to ensure operational compliance with internal policies.
• Collaborate closely with External and Internal Audit teams to guarantee control compliance.
• Manage relationships with third-party vendors and assess their deliverables.
• This role has the potential to evolve into overseeing, developing, and managing a team that supports and implements the Pricing and Contracting initiatives for the organization.
• BA/BS in a related field or equivalent experience; MBA is preferred.
• Over 8 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry; 5+ years in a biosimilar or managed market leadership role is highly preferred.
• More than 8 years of experience in government pricing, commercial contracting, and gross-to-net support.
• Advanced understanding of the US healthcare systems, including organization, reimbursement, formulary strategy, decision-making, and emerging trends.
• Strong financial modeling capabilities; fluency in GTN and rebate structures is essential.
• Direct experience with GPO contracting, PBM formulary strategy, and payor negotiations is strongly preferred.
• Ability to analyze and interpret contract language and identify potential risks to the organization.
• Willingness to operate in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities, demonstrating a high degree of initiative and independence.
• Capacity to collaborate cross-functionally with areas such as Accounting, Commercial Analytics, Compliance, Finance, Government Affairs, IT, Legal, Market Access, and Trade.
• Excellent problem-solving abilities and proficiency in analyzing and reconciling contracts and financial data.
• Outstanding organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
