Associate Director, AI Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, construct, and sustain AI-first web and mobile applications utilizing contemporary frameworks and engineering best practices.

• Spearhead the development of AI-driven features employing Python, LangGraph, and state-of-the-art LLM tools.

• Create and execute agentic workflow applications, encompassing orchestration, tool utilization, stateful flows, and human-in-the-loop methodologies.

• Develop comprehensive solutions across the front end, back end, APIs, and cloud infrastructure.

• Produce clean, scalable, and maintainable code in TypeScript (Node), JavaScript (React), and Python by applying recognized design patterns.

• Enhance applications for speed, scalability, reliability, and long-term maintainability.

• Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to define, design, and deliver new features while taking strong ownership of results.

• Offer architectural guidance, conduct code reviews, and provide mentorship to engineering teams.

• Collaborate with clients to lead demonstrations, support rollout conversations, and ensure the successful adoption of AI-driven solutions.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor’s degree or preferably a Master’s degree accompanied by 7+ years of experience in software engineering, AI engineering, or architecture.

• Proven experience in developing commercially successful, public-facing applications, ideally those that are AI-native.

• Strong expertise in React.js, Node.js, and Python is essential.

• Experience in full-stack development, owning end-to-end features, with comprehensive knowledge of all components of the stack.

• A proven track record of building production applications, supported by a robust portfolio of work.

• Practical experience in developing AI applications, AI agents, or agentic workflows.

• Solid understanding of LangGraph or similar orchestration frameworks.

• Strong knowledge of document and SQL databases.

• A good grasp of GCP and cloud-native architecture.

• Excellent problem-solving abilities, strong communication skills, and an ownership-driven mindset.
