Associate Data Scientist – Originations

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop, refine, and deploy models in a production setting that focuses on predicting sports outcomes.

• Train machine learning algorithms and create statistical modeling frameworks utilizing custom methods or tools such as xgboost, sklearn, pytorch, etc.

• Oversee SQL queries to maintain efficient, accurate, and current data pipelines.

• Conduct thorough backtesting of models to ensure high prediction accuracy.

⛳️ Requirements

• Proven track record of projects that are either centered on sports or involve innovative strategies in machine learning.

• Strong background in technical fields or mathematics/statistics, including computer science, statistics, math, physics, economics, etc.

• Proficient coding skills with the capability to code independently of AI tools, particularly in Python and SQL.

• Interest in sports betting, prediction markets, financial markets, or fantasy sports.

• Demonstrated ability to construct complex models beyond standard templates.

• A deep passion for sports, showcasing extensive knowledge of specific sports beyond casual fandom.
