This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Australia.

📋 Description

• Assist in the creation of predictive models throughout the student lifecycle, focusing on lead scoring, conversion propensity, retention risk, and demand forecasting.

• Aid in the development and assessment of generative AI solutions, including LLM-powered agents, prompt engineering workflows, and retrieval-augmented generation (RAG) pipelines.

• Conduct exploratory data analysis, feature engineering, and data wrangling to prepare datasets for modeling.

• Write clean and well-documented Python code for analytical tasks and model development.

• Facilitate the productionization of models by supporting pipeline development, testing, and integration with downstream systems.

• Create visualizations, summaries, and presentations that effectively communicate analytical insights and model outputs to non-technical audiences.

• Contribute to the team’s knowledge base by documenting methodologies, sharing insights, and engaging in code reviews.

• Actively enhance your skills through structured learning, certifications, and practical experimentation.


⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree (completed or nearing completion) in data science, statistics, computer science, mathematics, engineering, economics, or a related quantitative discipline.

• Proficient in Python for data analysis and modeling (pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, or similar).

• A foundational understanding of essential statistical and machine learning concepts, including regression, classification, model evaluation, overfitting, and train/test methodology.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.

• Effective written and verbal communication abilities.

• A genuine interest in data science, AI, and understanding how models influence real-world decisions.

• Familiarity with large language models (LLMs), prompt engineering, or generative AI tools and concepts (desirable).

• Knowledge of SQL for data extraction and manipulation (desirable).

• Experience with version control (Git) and collaborative development practices (desirable).

• Familiar with cloud platforms, particularly Microsoft Azure or Microsoft Fabric (desirable).

• Previous professional experience in analytics, research, consulting, or a quantitative role (for those transitioning careers).
