This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Oversee green building certification projects within the Certifications Department, focusing mainly on LEED O+M and BD+C, IREM CSP, Fitwel, BREEAM, WELL, and BOMA.
• Assume responsibility for certification projects from initiation to final awards, including those that are already underway.
• Communicate technical requirements effectively through written correspondence, verbal updates, and in-person or virtual meetings with project teams, clients, and potential clients.
• Engage with clients via email or phone regarding specific tasks/projects, with supervisory support available as needed.
• Contribute to business development by assisting with outreach to internal ESG client teams and maintaining client engagement points.
• Monitor the Certifications Department email inbox and highlight priority or time-sensitive communications.
• Provide support for other certification tasks and ensure high-quality deliverables to meet both internal and external deadlines.
• Collaborate with vendors and suppliers to request quotes and arrange meetings for certification-related services, industry software, or products.
• Stay informed about current ESG industry news and trends to offer relevant recommendations to clients.
• Interface with third-party certification organizations and their representatives.
• Conduct quality control (QC) and quality assurance (QA) certification reviews of work completed by other team members.
• Maintain excellent time management, organization, and follow-through while juggling multiple projects and deadlines.
• Bachelor’s degree in environmental sciences, urban planning, real estate, architecture, construction, engineering, or another sustainability-related field.
• 3-5 years of experience in the sustainability industry, with a minimum of 2 years specifically in green building certifications.
• Proven experience managing LEED v4/v4.1 O+M and/or BD+C projects.
• At least 1-2 of the following green building accreditations (listed in order of preference): LEED AP O+M, LEED AP BD+C, Fitwel Ambassador, BREEAM AP or Assessor, WELL AP, ActiveScore & ModeScore AP, TRUE Advisor, SITES AP, and other industry-leading green building credentials.
• Experience handling multiple projects simultaneously, including project documentation, meetings, note-taking, agendas, timelines, deadlines, follow-ups, research, memos, templates, and other pertinent project management skills from project initiation to final award.
• Familiarity with reviewing technical reports, such as ASHRAE Energy Audits, Indoor Air Quality Testing, ASHRAE 62.1 Ventilation Testing, etc.
• Ability to read, comprehend, and interpret building floor plans, site plans, stacking plans, mechanical schedules, and other architectural documents.
• Technical knowledge of mechanical systems including lighting plans, mechanical schedules, systems of operation, material specifications, Excel spreadsheets, and more.
• Experience in public speaking and/or presenting project information to clients.
