This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Establish a reliable and effective working relationship with the partner oncology practice team.
• Collaborate within a partner oncology group to assist patients, clinicians, and practice staff in identifying and intake of patients requiring behavioral health support.
• Aid in the mental health support of cancer patients within an assigned caseload.
• Deliver brief behavioral interventions tailored specifically for the oncology environment.
• Conduct screenings and assessments for prevalent mental health and substance abuse disorders.
• Encourage patient engagement and ensure follow-up care.
• Educate patients about common mental health and substance abuse disorders along with the treatment options available.
• Methodically track treatment responses and monitor patients for any shifts in clinical symptoms, as well as treatment side effects or complications.
• Assist with psychotropic medication management as prescribed by medical providers, emphasizing treatment adherence monitoring, side effects, and the overall effectiveness of treatment.
• 1–4 years of relevant experience in a behavioral health, healthcare, or oncology environment (preferred).
• A Master’s degree in Social Work, Counseling, Psychology, or a related behavioral health field is required.
• You are in the process of obtaining, license-eligible, or currently possess one of the following or similar: Licensed Social Worker (MSW, LSW, LMSW), Clinical Professional Counselor (CPC), Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC).
• Display a strong desire to learn, grow professionally, and gain experience in behavioral health therapeutic interventions.
• Relevant internship or work experience in healthcare, behavioral health, and/or oncology settings.
• Committed to providing evidence-based care and demonstrate the ability to collaborate and communicate effectively in a team environment.
• Have a genuine passion for delivering high-quality behavioral health care.
