This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.
• Manage cases autonomously from the initial intake through to resolution.
• Formulate and implement legal strategies informed by thorough factual investigation and legal analysis.
• Maintain regular and substantial communication with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel.
• Draft and review legal documents including pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.
• Attend hearings and trials as required.
• Operate remotely from a home office or co-working space.
• Travel as needed for hearings, proceedings, and firm events.
• Collaborate with skilled paralegals and centralized operations staff.
• Engage in onboarding, training, supervision, mentorship, and professional development activities.
• Juris Doctor degree from a law school accredited by the ABA.
• At least 3 years of relevant legal experience.
• Active licensure in two or more of the following states: NC, SC, TN, and VA; other active licenses will also be considered.
• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.
• Capability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a remote team.
• Strong organizational skills, time management, and personal accountability.
• Persistent, resourceful, and proactive in problem-solving.
• Confidence in managing outcomes from beginning to end.
• Willingness to travel for in-person hearings, firm trainings, meetings, and other events sponsored by the firm.
• Proficiency in Mac/Apple operating systems.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.
• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.
• Experience with timekeeping and case management software.
• Proficiency in legal research applications.
• Submission of a cover letter, resume, and at least three professional references is required.
