Associate Attorney – General Liability, Insurance Defense

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.

📋 Description

• Oversee a varied caseload from start to finish, offering strategic legal guidance and representation in court, arbitration, and depositions.

• Conduct file reviews and legal analyses of claims and causes of action.

• Perform extensive legal research and draft substantial briefs, memos, pleadings, and appellate documents.

• Frequently represent clients in court, during arbitrations, and in depositions.

• Prepare and respond to discovery requests.

• Engage in expert witness retention and collaboration.

• Prepare for and attend trials.

• Work closely with partners, clients, and stakeholders to provide strategic and practical legal advice.

• Manage deadlines and assignments with a strong sense of ownership and independence.

⛳️ Requirements

• J.D. from a law school accredited by the ABA.

• Active license to practice law in the specified state (required); additional bar admissions are a plus.

• At least 2 years of experience in the relevant practice area.

• Strong legal research, writing, and oral advocacy skills.

• Experience with administrative proceedings, depositions, and mediations.

• Capability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

• Professional demeanor complemented by strong client relations and communication skills.

• Must be organized and responsive, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks effectively.
