Associate Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in North Carolina, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Manage cases independently from the intake phase through to resolution.

• Formulate and implement legal strategies grounded in factual investigations and legal evaluations.

• Engage in substantive communication with courts, administrative agencies, clients, financial institutions, and opposing counsel.

• Prepare and assess pleadings, motions, briefs, appeals, agreements, and security instruments.

• Attend hearings and trials as required.

• Operate within a completely remote practice model, benefiting from structured support while enjoying autonomy in daily tasks.

• Maintain regular business hours from Monday to Friday, aligning with the respective U.S. time zone for effective team collaboration.


⛳️ Requirements

• Juris Doctor degree from an ABA-accredited law school.

• At least 3 years of relevant legal experience.

• Active licensure in two or more of the following states: NC, SC, TN, and VA; alternative active licensure will also be considered.

• Excellent written and oral advocacy skills.

• Capacity to work autonomously while effectively collaborating with a remote team.

• High degree of organization, time management, and personal accountability.

• Persistent, resourceful, and proactive in problem-solving.

• Confidence to take ownership of outcomes from beginning to end.

• Willingness to travel for in-person hearings, firm training sessions, meetings, and other firm-sponsored activities.

• Proficiency in Mac/Apple operating systems.

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office 365.

• Proficiency in Adobe Acrobat.

• Experience with timekeeping and case management software.

• Familiarity with legal research applications.

• Submission of a cover letter, resume, and at least three professional references is mandatory.
