Associate Attorney

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Montana, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Manage all facets of litigation for the practice in Wyoming or Montana.

• Assess correspondence and files to identify suitability for litigation.

• Review responses and prepare motions for discovery and disposition.

• Prepare for and execute trial proceedings.

• Advocate for clients in both pre-judgment and post-judgment situations.

• Attend court sessions.

• Analyze and provide guidance on legal and regulatory risks.

• Conduct risk assessments independently and develop strategies that comply with state and federal laws, regulations, and standards.

• Stay updated on modifications in state or local regulations.

• Oversee an individual caseload.

• Travel for certain work-related activities.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 5 years of relevant experience.

• Licensed to practice law in Wyoming or Montana, with the capability to acquire additional licenses.

• Experience in civil litigation and familiarity with court procedures.

• Understanding of federal, state, and local legal frameworks.

• Competence in analyzing case law and offering informed recommendations.

• Exceptional oral and written communication abilities.

• Capacity to prioritize and organize large amounts of information.

• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-oriented environment.

• Skill in effectively engaging with individuals at all levels within the firm.

• Proficiency in drafting legal documents including pleadings, motions, discovery requests, stipulations, reports, opinions, correspondence, articles, and other related documents.

• Familiarity with state and federal consumer laws and updates to state or local regulations.

• Capability to manage one's own caseload.

• Knowledge of Bankruptcy Law, Foreclosure Law, FDCPA, FCRA, or TCPA is advantageous.

• Professional appearance and a positive representation of the company.

• Ability to sit for extended periods and work at a computer.

• Occasionally able to lift items up to 10 pounds.
