This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Tennessee.
• Represent the firm in court as necessary.
• Assess new claims submitted to the firm to ensure they meet compliance standards.
• Review and approve all pleadings prepared for court filing, including complaints and motions.
• Occasionally draft various motions and responses for contested issues.
• Present arguments for contested motions in court, as well as conduct trials and arbitrations.
• Manage both phone and written communications with opposing counsel.
• Prepare and respond to discovery requests or supervise counterclaims involving BG or the client.
• Juris Doctorate and admission to the Tennessee Bar. (Additional licenses in BG states are advantageous)
• Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.
• Experience with Collection Master or similar case file management systems is preferred.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with a diverse range of staff, judges, opposing counsel, and circuit court clerks.
• Demonstrate tact, discretion, and courtesy when interacting with court officials, opposing counsel, and both in-house and stepping up attorneys.
• Capable of working independently and making sound decisions.
• Must be able to adhere to timelines, meet deadlines, maintain accurate records, and pay attention to detail.
