Associate Application Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and implement robust coding and testing for enterprise financial application components within Oracle Fusion Cloud Financials and integrated billing systems such as Zuora.

• Ensure smooth data flows, pipelines, and technical interfaces that connect Oracle Fusion with Zuora billing and other upstream/downstream platforms.

• Work collaboratively with functional analysts, business users, and financial track leads to convert intricate business logic and accounting workflows into scalable technical specifications.

• Assist in System Integration Testing (SIT) and User Acceptance Testing (UAT) phases, verifying that all custom configurations, extensions, integrations, and reports comply with rigorous financial accuracy standards.

• Actively monitor system performance, troubleshoot integration/report failures, conduct root-cause analysis (RCA), and provide essential support during critical financial periods, such as month-end closes.

⛳️ Requirements

• 1 to 2 years of practical experience in enterprise software development or engineering, particularly with Oracle ERP Cloud Financials.

• Strong foundational knowledge of BIP & OTBI Reports, SQL, PL/SQL, and data modeling principles.

• Familiarity with API testing tools (like Postman) and experience working with REST/SOAP web services.

• Proven ability to perform technical troubleshooting, analyze system logs, and carry out basic root-cause analysis (RCA) to address application or data flow issues.

• Exposure to or knowledge of modern cloud UI extension tools, including Visual Builder Cloud Service (VBCS) or Redwood templates.

• Clear and effective communication skills, with a demonstrated track record of successful collaboration in a cross-functional team setting.

• Basic understanding of data orchestration pipelines, XML/JSON data structures, or file-based data imports.

• Foundational knowledge of general accounting processes or experience in providing technical support during critical operational cycles such as month-end financial closes.

• Experience with Zuora billing systems, including Workflows, Mediation, and more.
