This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.
• Assist in conceptualizing, designing, and implementing new features using the Appian low-code platform for projects based on the prioritized product backlog.
• Apply innovative and creative thinking to tackle complex challenges, collaborating with peers and leveraging both internal and external resources.
• Provide estimates for upcoming sprint tasks based on an understanding of the functionality.
• Collaborate with the functional and testing teams to grasp business functionality, ensuring that the developed solutions meet or surpass end-user expectations.
• Conduct unit testing on all developed features, including edge cases, and be prepared to perform peer reviews of fellow developers' code as needed.
• Attend and engage in all Agile-related meetings, working within the Agile framework, which includes participating in User Story grooming sessions, Sprint Planning meetings, and retrospectives.
• Deliver presentations to clients during Sprint demos and coordinate meetings with intersecting teams as necessary.
• Take part in knowledge-sharing sessions within the organization to promote best practices and relevant white papers.
• Bachelor’s degree or a related degree in IT.
• Candidates MUST be U.S. citizens with the capability to obtain and maintain a Public Trust security clearance from the U.S. Government.
• A minimum of 2 years of experience in designing and implementing digital, BPM, or case management solutions using Appian.
• Proficient in Appian development and debugging techniques.
• Good understanding of data concepts (SQL, Databases) and business workflows.
• Experience with recent versions of Appian (22.x or later).
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to effectively interact with both technical and business stakeholders at all levels.
• Familiarity with Appian SAIL, Process Models, Interfaces, Process Monitoring, and/or Integrations.
• Experience managing multiple tasks, adapting to changing priorities, and taking timely actions; familiarity with Agile methodologies and Agile project management.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills in a remote work environment.
• Experience collaborating with software development team members.
• Preference for experience with other open-source technologies.
