This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Support facilities in achieving accreditation for designations such as Chest Pain Center Accreditation, Heart Failure Accreditation, Cath Lab Accreditation, Electrophysiology Accreditation, Transcatheter Valve Certification, HeartCARE Center, National Distinction of Excellence, and future service lines as outlined by ACC Accreditation Services.
• Focus on Chest Pain and Heart Failure Accreditations.
• Carry out on-site or video evaluations at facilities requesting any Accreditation services provided by the ACC.
• Engage in constructive discussions with healthcare organizations during on-site visits to evaluate gaps and identify areas for enhancement using the Accreditation Tool.
• Act as an advisor to help facilities comprehend accreditation requirements and promote their success.
• Assess accreditation materials submitted by facilities for completeness and to confirm that they meet essential component requirements as specified in the Accreditation Tool.
• Take part in presentations and professional trade shows to inform the public and other professionals about the advantages of all accreditations.
• Coordinate with facilities to schedule site reviews and gather additional documentation for accreditation assessments if necessary.
• Compile a summary report for the Accreditation Review Committee and the facility reviewed, detailing findings from the site review, accreditation decisions, and potential improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate effectively with all team members to ensure that the mission and vision of ACC Accreditation Services are maintained.
• Bachelor’s degree in nursing.
• A minimum of five years of healthcare experience, particularly in areas such as acute care, pre-hospital emergency care, nursing, research, Cardiac Cath Lab, Transcatheter Valve, Electrophysiology services, or other cardiovascular-related medical fields.
• Current licensure in the specified area of practice.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential.
• Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities are required.
• Must represent ACC Accreditation Services with professionalism and integrity.
• Basic knowledge of the services related to the accreditation oversight and current best practice standards is necessary; the reviewer is expected to gain expertise once employed.
• At a minimum, demonstrate foundational knowledge of performance improvement activities and metrics.
• Intermediate computer skills are required, including proficiency in spreadsheets, word processing, and email access.
• Ability to think critically to analyze data and communicate findings to healthcare facilities.
• Access to a high-speed internet connection in a work environment that supports online meeting platforms without issues.
• Willingness to travel up to 80% of the time and work evenings or weekends as needed for site reviews or trade shows.
• Ability to travel by air and lift/carry luggage weighing up to 75 pounds; must also be able to operate a vehicle.
• Capability to work in environments where infectious diseases may be present.
• Experience in process improvement is preferred.
• CPHQ certification is preferred.
