This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Review work plans developed for projects, inspection checklists, commissioning documentation, and other quality-related documents to ensure compliance.
• Assist project teams in interpreting contracts, specifications, drawings, corporate standards, and relevant codes.
• Provide technical guidance and quality support during the execution of projects.
• Aid in audits conducted by owners, internal teams, third parties, and for project closeouts.
• Conduct field audits and observations to assess compliance and the effectiveness of processes.
• Identify gaps in processes, recurring issues, quality trends, and necessary corrective/preventive actions.
• Investigate quality-related issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement measures to prevent recurrence.
• Suggest enhancements to quality, consistency, efficiency, and overall project performance.
• Review construction methodologies, installation practices, and quality processes.
• Assist in the development and improvement of corporate quality standards, processes, procedures, and documentation.
• Evaluate business processes and support initiatives for continuous improvement.
• Develop and track quality performance metrics and KPIs.
• Create and deliver training related to quality.
• Collaborate with Engineering, Operations, Commissioning, Procurement, Safety, and Project Management teams.
• Participate in constructability reviews and meetings focused on lessons learned.
• Travel to project sites, customer locations, corporate offices, and business meetings as necessary.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.
• A minimum of 5–7 years of progressively responsible experience in construction, engineering, quality management, or a related industry.
• A Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, Construction, or a related field; equivalent industry experience may be acceptable.
• Familiarity with construction drawings, specifications, contract documents, applicable codes, and industry standards.
• Strong analytical, critical thinking, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficient in effectively communicating with craft personnel, project teams, clients, subcontractors, and executive leadership.
• Confidence to respectfully challenge existing processes and offer collaborative recommendations.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, Bluebeam, Outlook, and other business software.
• Ability to work independently in a remote setting while managing multiple priorities.
• Willingness to travel nationally as required.
• Possession of a valid driver's license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Experience in utility-scale renewable energy, electrical construction, industrial construction, power generation, or large-scale infrastructure projects is preferred.
• Preferred experience in conducting quality audits, investigations, and root cause analysis.
• Experience in enhancing business processes, quality systems, procedures, or operational workflows is preferred.
• Preferred experience in reviewing work plans, inspection plans, commissioning documentation, and construction quality documentation.
• Experience with construction management software is preferred.
• Professional certifications such as CQE, CQM, Lean Six Sigma, PMP, NICET, NETA, or other relevant industry credentials are preferred.
• A dedicated home office is required.
• Ability to safely navigate active construction sites, including uneven terrain, ladders, stairs, varying weather conditions, and the use of required PPE.
• Capability to sit for extended periods while utilizing a computer and reviewing technical documentation.
• Occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be necessary.
• Ability to travel by automobile and commercial airline as required.
