This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in District of Columbia, +3 more states.
• Ensures that educational programs align with state and local school board standards through evaluation, development, and coordination efforts;
• Conducts research and implements alternative non-K12 curriculum resources that fulfill state standards as necessary;
• Aids in articulating the school's mission and vision to ensure all stakeholders have a unified understanding and are prepared to collaborate to achieve desired outcomes;
• Heavily utilizes communication technologies and practices that effectively support a primarily virtual/remote work environment;
• Ensures that the institution meets the needs of students while adhering to local, state, and federal regulations regarding special education and other categorical programs (such as Title I, LAP, CTE);
• Engages with students, families, local Municipal Court systems, and local districts concerning compliance related to student attendance and engagement in educational programs as defined by school policy and student handbook expectations;
• Develops and oversees the implementation of the school's Student Achievement Improvement Plan;
• Supervises and evaluates teaching staff;
• Manages teacher performance by developing and providing essential training to support their professional growth;
• Oversees Master and Lead Teachers and their programs;
• Consults with teachers, students, and parents regarding educational and behavioral challenges within the school;
• Coordinates with teachers and K12 Enrollment regarding student expulsions and withdrawals;
• Prior supervisory experience;
• Master’s degree AND five (5) years of educational experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience;
• Ability to pass the required background check;
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.);
• Strong web proficiency;
• Willingness to travel 20% of the time for meetings, professional development, etc.;
