Assistant Manager – Trade Operations, Exports

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Pakistan.

📋 Description

• Accountable for Trade Payments and various other tasks in compliance with the Bank’s internal policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), ICC guidelines, and authorizing transactions within the processing system.

• Oversee all aspects of Trade Finance across multiple business sectors.

• Execute transactions in line with SOP/OPMs and UCP/ISBP/ISP standards.

• Ensure the recovery of charges in accordance with existing guidelines.

• Conduct sanction checks on relevant parties involved in documents.

• Manage Trade Operations efficiently.

• Authorize or input transactions into the system and prepare/authorize the necessary SWIFT messages.

• Carry out ad-hoc assignments as directed by the Team Head.

• Communicate errors and knowledge gaps with the line manager/team to resolve customer service concerns.

• Mitigate revenue loss from uncollected charges.

• Guarantee that no outstanding reconciliation entries are left pending in Nostro or internal accounts.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree.

• A minimum of 9-12 years of pertinent experience in Trade Operations.

• Advanced understanding of Letters of Guarantee and Letters of Credit.

• In-depth knowledge of accounting entries and User Acceptance Testing (UATs).

• Familiarity with amortization principles.

• Strong communication, team management, and interpersonal skills.

• Proficient in MS Office applications (Word and Excel).

• Detail-oriented with strong analytical abilities and interpersonal skills.

• Capable of working under pressure, demonstrating excellent organizational skills, and being an effective team player.
